THE WORD OF GOD. The only sure foundation of Christianity. Our only source of Truth. Our only hope of strength and stability. Our guide book for life. God’s love letter to mankind. The supply of power for our service. We believe it, accept it, study it on a regular basis in a personal manner, we apply it to our lives and share it with everyone with whom we have an opportunity.

OTHERWISE, We are empty, void of hope, unproductive, inept in society and doomed to failure in our professed Christian lives. Our home is open to Satanic attacks, our families live in confusion and our church is hopelessly powerless. “…Sounding brass and tinkling cymbals.” Full of activity but experiencing no achievement. Having a form of Godliness but not manifesting the power thereof.

If a person could survey and comprehend the Bible one book at a time, it would take one year, three months and eleven days to make that survey. Not practical.

If though, the study could be made by dividing each book into two studies, the information which might be gained would take 132 weeks. Just one week shy of three years. Some improvement.

Expanding the time to three studies of each book would consume three years, nine months, and about a week. More information would be gained, but not much.

Now, take each book of the Bible and divide it into four studies and it would average five years and nine months. After such a study you would be far ahead of most professed Believers of today. You would probably be considered a scholar. But you would not be.

What if I took five weeks to consider each book and glean what I could by some fairly serious study ? Well, you would be looking at six years, seven and one half months. Quite a while but so much more profitable and fulfilling.

O K ! What if we divided each book into eight comprehensive studies ? You would be much more informed and knowledgeable than the majority of the professing Christian world. You would be an established Believer, apt to teach others in just ten years and three and one third months.

Now you know why there is such a shallowness to most lives
